It might be a case-sensitive issue. Have you tried <xsl:element
name="{@type}">

	<xsl:element name="{@type}">
		<xsl:apply-templates select="@*"/>
		<xsl:apply-templates select="@name" mode="makeElement"/>
		<xsl:apply-templates/>
	</xsl:element>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="Entry/@*" mode="makeElement">
	<xsl:element name="{name()}"><xsl:value-of select="."/></xsl:element>
</xsl:template>
