'Cos.... Its common, and IMHO, effective in providing the composite
view.
25% to one side as the index/diary view,
remainder as the most recent (or most recent n) entries.

The fact that I've never used one was ... incidental :-)
If you suggest a table to split out the content I'll make
rude noises Bruce :-)

Did you have an alternate view?
toc+entries or something?
