Wrong tense. The current version of XPath does not have either of those
operators, but you asked for XSLT2 in the subject line and that comes
with XPath2. Which isn't yet finished so you are talking about what
will be in XSLT2 and Xpath2 in the future. So you are working on the
bleeding edge. No one is familiar with this stuff, by definition. (Some
of us think we are familiar with it and get caught out that it changed
from one draft to the next.)
