I wrote

  <xsl:template match="version[@version]">
  <xsl:if test="not(position()=last())">, </xsl:if>
     <xsl:value-of select="@version"/>
  </xsl:template>

make that

<xsl:template match="version[@version]">
<xsl:if test="not(position()=1)">, </xsl:if>
   <xsl:value-of select="@version"/>
</xsl:template>

or

<xsl:template match="version[@version]">
   <xsl:value-of select="@version"/>
<xsl:if test="not(position()=last())">, </xsl:if>
</xsl:template>
