Your node sets are all taken from the same document and you do need (or
at least can use) node identity so probably I'd use something like

<xsl:key name="x" match="square" use="concat(@h,':',@v)"/>
 
<xsl:variable name = "intersection" select = 
"$polo/square[count($marco/square)=count($marco/square|key(concat(@h+1,':',@v)))]"/>
