<xsl:template name="block/title" name="section.heading">
  <xsl:param name="content">
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
  </xsl:param>
  <h2>
    <xsl:copy-of select="$content"/>
  </h2>
</xsl:template>

When you want to use the same template to generate headings for both matched
title elements and autogenerated content.
