Hi, We currently use Xalan to transform our XML files to HTML 4. At least the used version (2.4 or 2.5 I think) does not escape & to & for attributes (URLs of img/@src for example). When changing the xsl:output to "xml" and actually producing XHTML it does. This is a bug in Xalan that has been known for over three years (check <http://issues.eu.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4328>) but apparently never got fixed. As far as I know, it even made it's way into the default XSLT engine shipping with JDK1.4 and later. Best regards, Julian
