Re: page-squence-master

The problem I am facing is that my document can have
one page or more than one page.

If the document is of more than one page then the footer (totals)
should be printed the  on the first page itself. Otherwise it should
be on the last page with rest of the pages having a footer
say "Continued ...".

I am using <fo:static-content> for footers. Tried with two different
page sequences and marker to achieve it but coudn't.

David, your FAQ should probably mention that the technique of using a
page reference to a block on the last page to get "n of m" page numbering
works for simple documents but fails if either:

* The block with the id doesn't end up on the last page.  It's hard to
  ensure that this doesn't happen if you have floats that may float to the
  end of the document thus generating pages after your "last" block.

* The printed page number on the "last" page doesn't reflect the number
  of pages in the document. This will happen for example if your front
  matter is numbered i,ii, ... and the you restart the numbering  at 1
  at the beginning of the main matter.
