but I kind of developed the habit to add things like the following to my stylesheets:

but why? Apart from having it moan at you that * and node() conflict, you could just get rid of the first template and have (as they have in the xslt rec)

Dunno actually.. Maybe because I used xt at the beginning and it couldn't comprehend it?
