Of course, writing such javascript has nothing to do with xslt per se, but it is very feasible. OTOH, just because a stylesheet is cross-platform does not mean it will perform equally well with any xslt processor. I have had some cases where Saxon was much faster than either msxml or Xalan. Of course, it all depends on the details of the exact case. Cheers, Tom P
