ask for retrive information from many seperated documents

I want to retrieve other value from seperated documents. It can be done by
document() function.   but the URIs are such as
http://my.some.ac.uk/services/someexaplme?wsdl
Instead of saving the xml documents manully and using document() function,
how can I do it all automatically?
