It's funny how obvious things get overlooked. And in this case not just
overlooked but I flat out didn't even realize what I was looking at at
first because it's been so long since I've played with linking external
references with entity references. I REALLY am missing my morning cup
of coffee. Starbucks may very be a mandatory excursion for me at the
moment! :)

was
no chapter scope. So that's what I wasn't getting. Since this is
literally day three with XSL (swapping in and out with everything else
I'm working on), I'm still struggling to understand everything.

Well, for 3 days you're doing well so be encouraged by that. Actually,
you would be surprised at just how easy it is to make the changes but
the other thing that I didn't mention in my last email that I should
have is that on the flipside of performance is practicality, reality,
and the fact then when you're using it for a one off transformation
performance may not be as much of an issue when transforming small
files.

If you do find yourself with the need to continue development in XSL-FO
or XSLT I do encourage you to do some quick research as you will be
greatly encouraged when you find out just how much is possible with
these technologies.

Have a great rest of your weekend!
