xslt external param
The <xsl:param> element can be used to declare a
global parameter, in an XSL stylesheet. The way values
are passed to xsl:param from an external environment
is XSLT processor dependent. For e.g. , Xalan-J uses
this syntax to pass an external parameter from the
command line -

-PARAM name expression
