Hi Pooran,
Before answering your question, I would like to know if there are any
reasons why you have choosen to have an xml as a string ?
Is there any reason why you couldnt have a structure like
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<application>

   <diagram attr="value">

      <Diagram>

             <Node id="n1" name="name1"/>

      </Diagram>

   </diagram>

</application>
