SAXON: How to run?

I am trying from Michael's book [xslt programmers' reference] an
example, poem.xml and poem.xsl with additional following saxon element
on my stylesheet [as mentioned on chapter 10]

When I go to MS DOS to run, it gives the bas param=value pair on command
line error.

I am running it like this

C:\j2sdk1.4.1_05>java -jar c:\saxon\saxon6_5_3\saxon.jar
c:\1xml\poem.xml c:\1xml\poem.xsl

Any suggestions?
