Hi Kathy,
Without having seen much, I think that you - in your second expression - has no enclosing quotes. Something like: /WorkFlow/Assembly/Station[@name=""" & strStation & """]/WI[1]/@doc should do the trick (if the whole is enclosed by " and " - it does not say in your examples). Hope this helps Sincerely Ragulf Pickaxe I know this is more of an xpath programming question, but I'm trying to use a variable in place of a text string in an attribute value, but getting an object error (asp.net). _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
