Just wondering...not too strong on > javascript...mostly > vb basics...I'm just trying to torture myself with this project! > I usually just create a single string variable and keep building it up until it is done. Once in a while it is useful to create a second variable, sort of a working buffer. If you end up building a long string with lots of pieces, it can start to get slow (because of all the memory allocations that go on behind the scenes) and there is a good work-around which is fast. If that happens, which is unlikely unless your page gets really complicated, you can email me off-list. Of course, you can do the same things in vb as well, but I am sure it will be easier and more readable in javascript. I notice that you keep saying "@name", suggesting that you mean to use attributes. If so, you would have to modify my code a bit, but that would be easy (javascript has a nice data structure that is good for this). Again, you can email me off list (or I can put it on-list if anyone else is interested, but it is getting reather OT) Cheers, Tom P XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
