It is not set automatically. Replace it with your own XPath expression.
<xsl:variable name="YourVariableName"
select="document('YourXML.xml')/your/XPath"/>

| /xslt/NotunsignedImages/my_variable or
| /xslt/myvariable or /xslt/myvariable/upbg. But nothing worked.
