limiting a apply-template

This is what I have:

<xsl:apply-templates select="//*[@url=$docUri]" mode="dspLocal"/>

Normally the url attribute in the XML will be unique, but not
always.  When it is not unique, I only want to process the first
node it finds.  How do I do that?
