They are just identifiers. There is no network traffic associated with them. In other words, "http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" is a special string that indicates to the XSLT processor that the elements associated with that string (by virtue of using the prefix 'xsl', in this case, although you could use any prefix) are in fact XSLT instructions and not literal result elements.
