But the filter javascript only works when I remove the entries > to load the xsl file from the document object and load it from a file > located on the file system instead like this (same thing for the xml file): Well, unfortunately, since I can't reproduce the problem (it works fine loading the XSLT from the document object on my version of IE6) I am not sure what to suggest, other than double checking your MSXML parser with your browser. A quick, easy way to do that is to use Chris Bayes' browser sniffer: http://www.bayes.co.uk/xml/utils/msxml_sniffer.htm Then, if it is clear it is not a problem with your browser, you may have to repost your question and start all over again, from the beginning, so people can follow the problem, since this thread has gotton so long. Also, post to the MS-specific newsgroups.
