In XSLT 2.0 this is possible. But this isn't a recommendation yet.
In XSLT 1.0 you maybe can use an extension function of your parser
Please refer to the documentation of your parser for how to do this.

Does anyone know if it is possible to create files from within a stylesheet
in XSLT?
I meen, having a stylesheet generate (for example) 5 text files each with a
predefined name.
