OT: References and threading

Hi Folks,

As a newbie to this list I can't help noticing how many follow-up
posts are not correctly referencing the original post.  The threaded
view in my mail client is hardly worth it for this list.

I'm not sure if it is just configuration of people's mail client, or
whether said client doesn't do the job properly.

I've BCC'ed this post to a few who seem to have this problem and post
a significant number of items.  If those folk want some help with
this, just let me know off-list.
