Joining Multiple XML using XPath API of XALAN

Hi Gurus,

Does someone have examples to merge multiple xml files
using XALAN XPath API.
All the XMLs are conforming to the same schema and
they have to be merged to make a common XML.
I know we can write an XSL for such a transformation
but JAVA code will be more efficient.

Any thoughts or pointers will help.
