using xslt to output xml
Im a bit confused. I've been toying with XML for the past month or two, and like everything else am teaching myself.

I have a remote XML, as well as a local XML that im merging via XSL. I have got XSL to merge them correctly, as well as structure the data the way i want it. So far i have been using JavaScript to display XML as HTML, and I want this merged XML to be viewed as HTML also.

My goal is for the visitor of my site to be able to click a button, and view information from the merged XML. Though i would like the action of the button being clicked to initiate the start of the merger (ie. download remote XML, run it through XSL to merge with local XML, output merged XML, then run merged XML through XSL to be displayed as HTML). This may be bad form, and if so, please point me in the correct direction =)

My problem is creating the merged XML. I can do it via XML/XSL editors, but i dont want to manually merge them, given the information in the remote XML is updated 24/7 in real time.
