calling javascript during transformation w/ IE6; need

I have a need to call javacript during transformation and would like
to be able to determine the URL of the XML document. I am using IE6.
Does anyone know how to do this or if it is possible? I am playing
with the following stylesheet:

<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
                xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"
                xmlns:user="http://mycompany.com/mynamespace"
                version="1.0">
        
 <msxsl:script language="javascript" implements-prefix="user">
  <![CDATA[
   function ReturnURL() {
     ...
     return URL;
   }
  ]]> 
 </msxsl:script>

 <xsl:template match="/">
  <xsl:value-of select="user:ReturnURL()"/>
