According to the MSXML 4 help, transformNode is a method of the DOM
Document object, not of its documentElement property.

That article is obsolete, note the old Microsoft-only namespace. It is
really best to keep up with the Microsoft stuff, I think MSXML 4 is
pretty compliant with XSLT. The MSXML 4 help is a better reference than
old articles.
