Which still doesn't work. And the processing instructions cause XML Spy to croak. I'm using Xalan-Java 2.0.1. Out of curiosity, I'll probably post this on the Xalan list to see what they say. I can only suggest to use a current build of Xalan. Since 2.0.1 much time is gone, they completely "reinvented" the code ... and fixed so many bugs. The current version is 2.3.1, test it and post then your problem at the Xalan list. They will tell you nothing different there. It's a very stable and well working release (http://xml.apache.org/dist/xalan-j/), it's out now for 4 months. (I see there is a new release 2.4.D1, but it's better to use not the development release.)
