sort xsl and store xml

Try this for storing the result in variable...

<xsl:variable name="WhereClause">                 (Variable name)
  <xsl:apply-templates select="/" />                 (Resutl)
 </xsl:variable>

Hi,
I am making use of a result tree as a input xml to the xsl.
And sorting some elements in it.
Now the problem is perhaps, that the sorted list is being added to the same
result tree.
And as a consequence I'm getting double the no.of elements...First set
sorted and the
second one, as it was ealier in the result set.
I think if I can store the result of the sort in a variable, this problem
will be solved.
Cud U pls help me.

Reards
Rohit
