Not with standard XSLT 1.0. Have a look at extension functions like http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/extensionslib.html#redirect and a more complex example at http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/apidocs/org/apache/xalan/lib/Redirect.html for Xalan. Other processors have other extension functions, so it's not portable.
