The answer is no (frome someone at Microsoft).
MS did not implement extension elements (which
is optional in the standard) and so does not
include a way to output multiple files.

Thank you for your answer, which confirmed what I tought : following the mailing list precept, "no answer is no solution"...

I will use saxon, even if it is a little slower.
