Richard,
At 02:40 PM 2/13/02, you wrote: > I tried making it a node and callint the variable > "string($var)" to no avail. Have you tried <xsl:copy-of select="$var"/>? If you want nodes (i.e. those HTML elements, attributes, any text nodes containing data) in output, then don't turn it into a string, just copy it. (Nodes held in a variable actually constitute what's called a "Result Tree Fragment", which is designed to work just the way you want it, no stringifying necessary.) I hope that helps, Wendell ====================================================================== Wendell Piez mailto:wapiez@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mulberry Technologies, Inc. http://www.mulberrytech.com 17 West Jefferson Street Direct Phone: 301/315-9635 Suite 207 Phone: 301/315-9631 Rockville, MD 20850 Fax: 301/315-8285 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mulberry Technologies: A Consultancy Specializing in SGML and XML ====================================================================== XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
