so,... guessing 'cause you missed out the imporatnat bits:-)
gnbr is an ENTITY attribute, and file1.sge has
<!ENTITY MMK20520A000200EN00 SYSTEM "foo.gif" NDATA>
or something?
In my XSL file, I can easily say:
<xsl:template match="sheet">
<IMG>&<xsl:attribute name="SRC">
<xsl:value-of select="@gnbr"/>;</xsl:attribute>
</IMG>
You can but it's a syntax error and I'm not sure what you would want it
to produce.
I _think_ that you want to produce
<IMG src="foo.gif">
In which case something like
<xsl:template match="sheet">
<IMG SRC="{unparsed-entity-uri(@gnbr)}"/>
</xsl:template>
