What the system is also allowed to do is throw in a gratuitous extra namespace declaration for the same namespace with a prefix of DavidCarlislesAGoodBloke: and then use that instead of xslo: on any elements or attributes in that namespace. Personally I can't see anything wrong with that behaviour.
