the idea of mixing xml vocabularies is a natural no brainer for most people.

the problem comes with the slight nuances that are introduced, as MKay
pointed out,with the URI possibly being the most confusing but this has some
implications for future architecture.

the big problem on the list is the confusion the M$ has done with their
early XSL implementation.

i would suggest everyone on the list to suggest to microsoft to make some
very clear distinctions

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp?from=cu&fu=%2Fisapi%2Fgo
mscom%2Easp%3Ftarget%3D%2Fmswish%2Fthanks%2Ehtm

choose internet explorer and help and documentation, cut n paste the
following in the comment;

'members of the XSLT list request that you please describe the difference
between the XSL and XSLT namespace within your MSXML documentation.'

maybe this will reduce the number of postings that relate to this or
not......

cheers, jim fuller
