I have a data island, and wish to pass a value
returned by it to a javascript function.

I'm picking the value up using a span
<span datfld="Facility_ID></span>
i need to pass this value to a function. e.g

<a onclick="showDetails(data + the value returned by
<span datfld="Facility_ID></span>)>something</a>

anybody know how to do this.  It looks straight
forward to me, but i just cant work out how to do
it!!!
