A result tree fragment isn't part of the original tree it is a completely new tree with its own root node. If you are trying to pass a subtree of the source tree then do that (ie use the select attribute of with-param) then you have access to the source nodes and can make any query on them, find their parents, count their siblings, etc. David _____________________________________________________________________ This message has been checked for all known viruses by Star Internet delivered through the MessageLabs Virus Scanning Service.
