>is it possible to apply an xsl to an xmlschema? Sure. Since XML-Schema (I guess you refer to W3C's XSD) is also a XML vocabulary itself it can be processed by XSLT. But I think you're trying to transfer instances of a vocabulary which has a schema (like it had a DTD formerly). Generally speaking it makes absolutely no difference which vocabulary serves as source of a XSLT transformation process, as long as the document is well-formed.
