Transforming XSL document -> XSL, with replacements

Hello, I've been attempting to output an entire XSL document, as is, while
replacing certain discrete xml elements from a second document, and am
having no luck thus far.

The loading of elements from a secondary document, I understand. I am simply
not able to write out all of the xsl tags and content verbatim.
