Don't know how the code ended up like that I just copied it. sorry
Trying one more time:
<xsl:template match="html">
<html>
<xsl:apply-templates select="body"/>
</html>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="body">
<xsl:copy-of select="*"/>
</xsl:template>

With the stylesheet you send, you don't only say to copy the contents of
body, you also say apply-templates on the root, which means it will also
show you what's not in body.
Simply say something like:
<xsl:template match="html">
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="body">
<xsl:copy-of select="*"/>
</xsl:template>
Hope this helps
