I've just found it easier to declare JavaScript in a variable
and then use it in attributes.
<xsl:variable name="JSfunction">foo('<xsl:value-of
select="whatever"/>');</xsl:variable>
<a href="{$JSfunction}">
Tom
If you are (for eaxample) applying templates to build up your attribute
then you have to do that, but for a simple value-of you can use AVTs,
the above is equivalent to
<a href="foo({whatever});}">
David
