Yes, it's no problem, but you need to write JScript on the HTML page to control the transformations, rather than relying on the <?xml-stylesheet?> processing instruction. If you're stuck with the old WD-xsl, I'd recommend Alex Homer's IE5 XML book from Wrox Press, which explains the necessary APIs.
