 And without touching XSLT 1.0 we will have achieved everything XSLT 1.1 claims, but in a language-neutral way, and a way that respects the layering between XSLT and extensions. No, actually you won't have. It seems to be getting lost in the Java vs. the World flame fest, but there's more new stuff in XSLT 1.1 than simply xsl:script. There's also xsl:document and the elimination of the result tree fragment data type.
