I'm not convinced you are selecting the right items. At the point where
you use refer to @itemid in your key(), the context has changed (you are
inside a predicate) .. try replacing @itemid there with a variable that
you set outside, as you did with $this_lists_items.

Understand that until Jeni Tennison sees this thread, you can't expect a
detailed, thoroughly tested reply with all the code you need to solve your
problem :)
