Simple XSL Question

xml fragement:

      <column nr='1'>
      <column nr='2'>

How can I count all the children of the element column where nr = 2?
Should be something like this:
<xsl:value-of select="count(//tablelayout/column/*)"/> the only thing is that the nr=2
is not handled yet.

Thanks Rob
