xslt tranformations
Hi,

I'm having a problem with a xsl transformation of one XML document to another...
1. The document (the source) has 3 Nodes I need to tranform into the destination XML document...

the source layout looks like..

<ODATA>
       <ID>3112213124</ID>
       <DATE>Tue Oct 31 13:58:46 GMT+00:00 2000 </DATE>
</ODATA>

the Destination should look like ...

<ORDER ID="3112213124 " DATE="Tue Oct 31 13:58:46 GMT+00:00 2000 ">
         the rest of the nodes here....
</ORDER>

problem ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------

I need to get the id data (which is simple) from the destination source and
create a new order node with parameters (which is the tricky part)
I tried somthing like this (which obviously doesn't work but maby you/someone can see what I'm trying to
achive ....

<xsl:template match="ODATA">

        <xsl:variable name="theID" select="ID"/>
        <xsl:variable name="theDATE" select="DATE"/>

<ORDER ID="$theID" DATE="$theDATE" > ORDERDATA ... </ORDER>

</xsl:template>

sooooooo greatful for any pointers/help ,
