FO Table Borders

I am using FO to out put a pdf file.
I want to set a dashed border for my table. I supposed that 
this should be done like this:

<fo:table space-after.optimum="2cm" border-width="1pt" border-style="dashed">

But it does't seem to work. Any Suggestions?
