I've lost the thread about which value you want to get
from where (but the answer is yes, whichever:-)
I'd also note that in one file you had FIRSTNAME and another you had
firstname, XML is case sensitive, do you really want these to be
different (again you can specify the lowercasing in XSL if you really
need it)
Possibly you want something like
value="{normalize-space(/INPUTDATA/*[name()=current()/@name])}"/>
