Thanks for the reply!

I tried the file:/u:\.... approach and get this message from XML Spy when I
validate:

'Sorry, but the file
"U:\VSS\[...]Models\file:\U:\VSS\\[...]Models\DocumentationTemplate.dtd"
could not be opened'
