processor update
I have updated the files on http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/passivetex/,
after a lot of small changes. Anyone using PassiveTeX should update
their system with new copies of fotex.xmt and fotex.sty, and report
any (adverse!) changed behaviour to me. Don't expect any magic
changes, just extra things might work now.

PassiveTeX is a partial implementation of the March 2000 XSL FO draft spec,
using TeX. It is not complete or conformant, but implements things
from all 3 levels of conformance. Whether it has a long-term future, I
am not sure, but for now you can rely on it to do straightforward
pages to TeX's normal high standards of eg hyphenation and
justification. It groks a subset of MathML.

If you have never installed TeX before, expect to have to do some
work! If you *do* have a decent TeX setup (and understand it),
it should be a doddle.

PassiveTeX relies on David Carlisle's xmltex XML processor written in
TeX.
